BOUNDARIES UNLIMITED INC. has years of experience working with hydroelectric power generators. From Glenwood Springs throughout western Colorado, we've successfully engineered a range of hydropower plants, including our most recent project in Basalt. We helped them build a 41 KW plant, acting as project manager and hydroelectric engineer.

Basalt Power Plant

The Basalt project included a feasibility study that covered the financial cash flow analysis program for specific conditions and historic flows, as well as coordination of the FERC exemption licensing application process. We coordinated with Holy Cross Energy Association with interconnection requirements, and designed the entire facility, supply pipeline upgrades, and interconnection with the existing water treatment plant. Our team also coordinated with turbine and control equipment suppliers, electrical consultants for equipment requirements, and managed the construction of pipelines, building the equipment, and starting up the plant.

City of Aspect

Working with High Country Hydro, Inc., several BOUNDARIES UNLIMITED INC. personnel continue providing local operation and maintenance services for the City of Aspen's 5 megawatt hydroelectric power facility at the Ruedi Dam as subcontractors for GE™. This unique solution has been in place since 1986, and includes day-to-day plant operation and coordination of flow releases from the Ruedi Reservoir for the Frying Pan River with the Bureau of Reclamation.
